New Hope chartered as a church on September 1, 2000.

In our early years, we met in the facilities of two, gracious churches.

Next, we rented the Quinton Community Center for several years.

In 2007 we purchased 5 acres in New Kent (our current location) and met "Open Air" using a custom
made (by New Hope members) Band Stand for a stage, and camping chairs seating for the congregation!
It was simple, but relaxed and comfortable for our back-to-nature enjoying congregation.

After a year of outdoor services, God blessed us with a professional grade tent with heating, air, and
padded chairs, which is our current facility.

God has now opened the doors, and we are currently in a building program. We have a permanent, steel,
all-purpose building on site, but before it can be erected, we must complete the requirements of a very
large retention pond.

Our brand new, fenced-in, outdoor playground was recently completed by our own, Eagle Scout!

Several modular buildings are already on the property and will be moved into more permanent, usable
positions soon.

In addition to the 3500 square foot open multi-purpose building, with extra-large cargo bay doors and
mobile stage, the property will also offer the following entertainment / recreation facilities:

  • Eco-friendly Sitting Areas
  • Basic Skate Park
  • Outdoor Pavilion
  • Outdoor Playground
  • Indoor Playground
  • Children's meeting rooms
  • Warming Kitchen
  • Café'
  • Outdoor Dining Patio
  • Amphitheater
  • Nature / Reflection Trail
  • Food Pantry

This construction project is expected to cost $150,000 - $175,000. It is only through God's blessing and
the generosity and faithfulness of His children that it will come to fruition.

If God prompts you to give, pray, or help with this project in any way, please don't hesitate to
contact us
and let us know of your desire.

We are anxious to watch God's miraculous work as the body of Christ comes together to build a ministry
base from which we can continue to Creatively Communicate Christ to our Community.
